Living in a warzone

I woke up at 7.45 am today to have my final shower in the toilet. BY 8.15 am, the contractors were already knocking on our doors, waiting to start demolishing our toilets. By 9 am, the entire flat was sealed up with plastic sheets, and the drilling began!!!!! Enough about the renovation, it just pisses me off....

Read in the newspapers today that the PAS Youth wing is kicking up a big fuss over the governance of the 5 opposition-controlled states. They claim that Islamic issues are being sidelined and they expect the other states to be governed in the same vein as Kelantan.

In all honesty, I think i have had enough of this call for the further Islamization of Malaysia. Without even going into the constitutional arguments surrounding this issue, anybody with a decent of level intelligence and common sense would understand how ridiculous these demands by the PAS Youth Wing really are.

Less these people forget, the main problems that the country is now facing lie in our under-performing economy, rising inflation, and security. Why is there such a lack of discussion on matters that will truly affect the lives of all Malaysians, instead of just a particular community. Take for example security. There are tonnes of violent crimes being committed each day all across the country. Nobody seems to be perturbed by it at all. Who cares if you're Muslim, Christian, or that you do not drink alcohol. Who cares if you listen to rock music, or even black metal for that matter. It certainly will not cast an immunity on you from possibly being robbed in bright daylight, or raped in a hidden alley, or even have your car stolen!!! And these things are happening to random people each and every single day. (And the police, for goodness sake, stop taking orders from stupid governmental leaders to do absolutely useless things. I know they pay your salary, but you are entrusted to protect us~~~!!!!)

Muslims fanatics have to really wake up. I hold nothing personal against the religion. But these people must really start thinking ahead for the country. What we need now is sound leadership which sadly, our present government is sorely lacking in. We need a direction. Our stupid government has lost the plot completely. They are spending way too much time worrying about putting political opponents ,and not the truly violent criminals behind bars.

So in other words, the government is lousy. The opposition is equally useless. What else are we left with? We Malaysians are truly an unfortunate lot. Please, will the real leaders please step up, please step up, please step up....
